IntelBurnTest is software which can benchmark CPU speed. IntelBurnTest WILL stress the CPU, North Bridge, Memory and other computer components to their highest extent! Make sure your system is properly ventilated and cooled! It will work on even Intel Pentium III processors, but unfortunately, Intel designed the binaries in a way that makes it not run at all on any AMD CPUs.Ĭaution: Not for beginning overclockers.

It is highly recommended to use a 64-bit Windows operating system (XP 圆4 preferred) for the most accurate testing and using maximum amount of free system memory. This software will put even the highest end Intel Core 2 Extreme rigs to their knees, and shows how REALLY stable the system is.

The program utilizes Intel's very own CPU stress testing binaries for the most stressful, and speedy testing.

Tool that helps Intel Core 2-based (or others) test for system stability in a relatively short time (greatly shorter than Prime95). We recommend keeping your drivers and BIOS up to date, you should download the driver and latest bios version here:

At this point, the THERMALTRIP# signal will go active. If your system detects critical temperature the system will automatically shut down when the silicon has reach an elevated temperature that risks physical damage to the product. I have seeing several customers complaining about this temperature but with this Intel® Core™ i7-7700K Processor this temperature is normal.Īlso, when you do stress tests, it is expected that the temperature reaches 85☌ or more and then when the stress test finishes it will go back to normal. Please bear in mind that these temperatures for this processor is totally normal and nothing to worry about it, this processor can work under normal work load at 100☌, you can check the TJUNCTION for this processor here: Thank you for contacting the Intel community. There dosent seem to be any cooling problems because all the other operations work perfectly fine and with good temperatures, even idle is low. If I turn on the AVX offset down (negative offset 3 or 4) to below stock turbo speeds (4.5GHZ) I can get temperatures, while running AVX, under 77C but this dosent make much sense because even at stock speeds AVX instructions burn the CPU up to 80/83C or even higher, once again I stop the test. RAM:Crucial Ballistix LT 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz 1.2VįULL LOAD AVX: 85C+ (after 1 or 2 minutes I stop the test by the time temps reach 84/85C) GRAPHICS CARD: Gigabyte GTX 1060 WF OC 6GB I find this really hard to understand since I dont have any cooling issues.ĬASE: Bitfenix prodigy M with 6 Corsair SP120 Fans - 2 IN / 3 OUT / 1 CPU I can get low temperatures on non-AVX instructions, even under 62C but once again, running AVX blows the CPU up to 85C. With BIOS defaults, The CPU can handle any non-AVX workload under 65C, but if I run a stress test with AVX, like intel burn test or prime95, the temperatures rise above 80/85C.Īfter trying all sorts of configurations, like lower voltages, XMP on or off, AVX offsets, Voltages offsets, adaptive, manual, higher and lower BLCK, the results are allways the same. After being discussing this subject a bit off topic on the thread about temperature spikes on the same CPU model, I've decided to open a new thread just to see if I can find a solution or explanation.Īfter 2 months of testing, I0ve got to the conclusin that my CPU can't handle AVX instructions very well.
